When a VET centre wants to start with or improve its Research and Innovation activities, there are very many elements that need to be taken into account.
In order to gain some oversight, the AIRinVET Framework has been developed.
This Frameworkhas been published in a report, which can be found HERE.

However, in order to make it accessible and workable for VET centres, we hereby present the AIRinVET Self-Assessment Tool, based on the Framework.

The AIRinVET Self-Assessment Tool is designed for Vocational Education and Training (VET) Centres seeking to enhance their applied Research and Innovation (R&I) activities. Whether you are just beginning your R&I journey or looking to scale up your existing initiatives, this tool provides a clear and actionable starting point.

How to Use the Tool

  1. Start Anywhere
You can begin with any Dimension or area that feels most relevant to your organisation. The tool is flexible—there’s no required order, and you can focus on what matters most to you right now.
  2. Rate the Statements
Review the statements provided within each Dimension. Only rate the ones you find relevant to your situation and context.
  3. Gain Insights
As you score the statements, the tool generates insights into your organisation’s readiness and opportunities for growth in R&I.
  4. Download Your Customised Report
Once you’ve completed the assessment, simply click the ‘Download Report’ button located beneath each statement. The tool will compile your scores into a report tailored to your responses. This report links to specific Recommendations from the AIRinVET Roadmap, providing actionable steps to strengthen your R&I efforts.
